Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026. It was originally slated for fall 2025, moved to May 26, 2026, and then to the current date.

The Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99. Pre-ordering before launch adds the free Vintage Vice City Pack. There is no early access for either edition.

At launch GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. A PC version has not been announced — based on GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, a PC release typically follows one to two years later.

In the state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida — including Vice City (Miami), the Leonida Keys, the Grassrivers wetlands, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.

GTA 6 has two playable protagonists: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style duo at the center of the story. Lucia is the first female protagonist in a mainline GTA since the 2D era.

Community analysis of the trailers puts the map at roughly 125 km² of land — about twice the size of GTA V's — across six regions with no loading screens.

Ultimate ($99.99, digital only) adds five exclusive vehicles, four weapon variants, five exclusive shops, the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, a side mission and cosmetic packs. You can upgrade from Standard at any time.

Rockstar has not detailed multiplayer yet, but a next-generation GTA Online is widely expected to follow the single-player launch, as it did with GTA V.
